Just a few months after moving to the Fishers area, Cole Boyd found himself in a difficult place. The new job he relocated for was weighing on him, his seasonal depression was flaring up, and the stress was mounting. Cole felt like he had nowhere left to turn - until he decided to try praying.

"I prayed for God to show me he cares about me and to make Himself known in my heart," Cole recalled. "I didn't really have Jesus in my life after the hardships I had been through."

A few days later, Cole's friend Thomas unexpectedly reached out. Thomas shared how he had found his faith and was now attending a local church. The conversation piqued Cole's interest, even though he hadn't set foot in a church in years.

Cole continued praying, this time asking God for community and purpose. That's when Thomas invited him to check out the new Traders Point Church campus in Fishers. Despite initially being hesitant, Cole felt God nudging him to go.

When Cole finally visited Traders Point, he was met with a warm welcome. "James from Guest Experience saw me and asked if I was new and what led me to church that day," Cole said. "He told me to just go in and listen to the message and find him afterward if I was interested in learning more."

That first message struck a deep chord with Cole. As Pastor Aaron talked about reconnecting with God, Cole felt profoundly moved. "I wept," he admitted. "Knowing exactly what I'd been through in my past, and how I ran from God, and that was the first message?! I knew I was home."

From there, Cole dove headfirst into the Traders Point community. He attended First Step that same Sunday, which led him to then get baptized, start serving on Sundays, and even become an active youth leader. "Every chance I've had to say yes, I have taken that and ran with it," Cole said.

Now firmly rooted in the Traders Point family, Cole is grateful for the community and purpose he's found.

Cole's journey is a testament to the power of prayer, community, and a church that warmly welcomes those seeking to reconnect with their faith.
