God is moving in the next generation, and we’re seeing amazing things happen in youth and kids across all campuses.
After a historic summer in kids and youth camps and many students giving their lives to Jesus for the first time, we see that momentum continue through the school year. So far, Midweek attendance for Traders Point Youth has grown by 75%, and Youth Night is booming, too – with a 48% increase from August 2023 to August 2024. We’re also celebrating the 1,200 new families who have joined our church family since August!
One of the significant changes we made was welcoming our 6th graders into Traders Point Kids and Traders Point Youth for their 6th-grade year. This shift has led to a 24% increase in attendance for 6th graders this school year! Sixth grade is a year full of change, and developmentally, they crave stability. As a church, we want to connect them to peers and adults who consistently show up for them and point them to Jesus.
“We’re excited about what this means for families of 6th graders and the opportunities it opens up for them to stay connected to Jesus and the church during such a turbulent time of life,” says Tyler Lemmel, our NextGen Operations Pastor.
“Our teams have been working hard to steward all that God is doing here in NextGen,” says Anne Wilson, our NextGen Pastor. “From improving our weekly experiences and events, developing new resources for parents, and creating spaces for young people who want to pursue full-time ministry, we’re humbled by God’s faithfulness and excited for all that’s to come.”
