Is financial assistance available?

We don’t want finances to be a barrier for anyone who wants to attend High School Camp. Scholarships are available based on need and availability. For more information on how to apply, email tlemmel@tpcc.org.

Absolutely, but there are a few things to know: we ask campers to leave their phones in their dorms during activities, sessions, and group times, and all phones must be turned off and turned in to their leader at lights out. We do this to help reduce distractions and help campers get good sleep every night.

During the week, campers will be in groups where they can hang out and talk about what they’re learning. Groups have anywhere from six to twelve students and are led by leaders who have gone through Traders Point Youth’s onboarding process, which includes a background check, staff interview, orientation, and training. There will be approximately one adult for every six students on the trip.

Rooms at Hope College are dorm- and suite-style, with shared bathrooms in the hall. Students have two or three per room, depending on the housing blocks provided by Hope College. Note: Very few dorms are air-conditioned. Bringing small fans is recommended.

We want every student to be able to attend camp and understand that late arrivals and early pickups might be necessary. Due to the number of participants, late arrivals are only allowed through 10 PM on June 17, and early departures are permitted from 7-9 AM on June 21.
